FUN MATH PRACTICES
Sign up so you can improve your competition math skills or receive help with math class material! It's free tutoring + up to 1.5 points towards MAO -- a win-win situation! Fun Math Practices will be held (almost) every Friday; check Remind101 messages each week to learn more.
PAST COMPETITIONS
- RCML Round 1
- January 17th @3 PM in Mrs. Rashid's Room (A201)
- 10 Questions in 30 minutes
- The division you choose must be your current math class and you may only sign up for one division:
- Algebra (Mercury)
- Geometry (Gemini)
- Algebra II (Apollo) - Sign up for this one if you doubled up in Geometry and Algebra II
- Precalculus or Above (Discovery)
- University of Houston
- January 27th
- Will be held online on zoom
- You can take as many tests as you want as long as the times don't conflict. The Algebra 1 to Calculus tests won't conflict with the other tests.

- You can only take the regular subject test for the class that you are currently taking at school. (If you are in a math class above calculus, take calculus)
- For those who signed up, you will recieve an email with information on creating an account and registering for exams.
- Once you register, you will be given access to practice tests from previous years so that you can get used to the online format.
- Virtual UIL
- Number Sense and Calculator rounds on January 23rd and General Math on the 24th

- Testing will be in Dr. Hrens room after school (A206)
- These tests will contribute to the selection of the Dulles UIL Team
- Needville UIL
- Testing on February 17th at Needville HS (arrange your own transport to the school - none will be provided)

- Number Sense: A quick paced 80-question test with a ten minute timer. (0.5 points): 8 AM
- Calculator: A thirty minute test with 70 questions that requires the use of a calculator to solve questions. (1 point): 8:30 AM
- General Math: A forty minute test with 60 questions that includes topics such as Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, AP Calculus (BC) and AP Statistics. (1 point): 1:30 PM
- Houston INTEGIRLS

- The contest is open to all female and non-binary students
- Winners will receive cash and gift cards
- UIL and TMSCA
- Teams will be decided next semester
- UIL Invitational A: TBD
- UIL Invitational B: TBD
- There are three math tests for UIL and TMSCA
- Number Sense: 80 questions, 10 minutes, all mental math
- Calculator: 70 questions, 30 minutes
- General Math: 60 questions, 40 minutes

- AMC 10/12 A: November 8
- AMC 10/12 B: November 14

- Test will be in-person after school 3-4:30 pm
- Texas A&M University Math Contest
- November 4

- Subject Exams: based on your math class
- Best Student Exams: general math concepts
- Power Team: Work with a team to solve a set of proof-based problems. The problems will be available a week before the contest, and you can work on them until the contest day. Email us the solutions the day of the contest to earn your points. You must also submit your solutions to the competition to earn points
